Meanwhile...back at the Ranch, we've started to gear up for October's Art Walk by making a schematic of where the exhibit will go and figuring out wall placements. Our friend Brian Torres (AKA iPop Cultura!) has made these amazing, one-of-a-kind pillows from vintage Pendletons. He custom makes each piece and hand stitches everything with love. He then adds kitschy-creative touches like old car emblems and small metal toys from the '50s. Each pillow is a work of art, and we're proud to feature him as our October artist. He also does amazing sculptures (he'll be showing some wall art too) and is a badass graphic artist to boot. And, well, we just love everthing he does. Plus, he has promised to walk me down the aisle if I ever get married again. Awww! Tears! True blue!! (He always knows the right things to say.) And I've promised to hold his hand through the Excorcist (the cult film that traumatized him and most of us in the late '70s), he needs to have a break through and realize how campy the movie really is. That's what friends are for. Right?
Stay tuned for more killer work from Brian Torres.
